King Narai's Palace
The palace King Narai built in 1666 when he made Lopburi the second capital of Ayutthaya, living here eight or nine months of the year. Foreign envoys were received within its white walls; after his death in 1688 it was abandoned, and it now houses a national museum.

Prang Sam Yot
Three Khmer towers of laterite and sandstone, joined by passages, built in the 13th century when Lopburi lay within the Angkorian world. The town's long-tailed macaques treat the ruins as their own, and they are as much the attraction as the stone.

A shrine in the middle of Lopburi built on Khmer foundations, honoured by both Hindus and Buddhists. Hundreds of macaques live in its grounds and the trees around it, which is why most visitors come.
