Delete your account

LOQAH · loqah.com · Last updated 30 September 2026

In the app, in three taps

This is the whole procedure. It needs no email to us and no waiting.

  1. Open LOQAH and go to Profile, the last tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my passport.
  3. Confirm. Your passport is gone at once.

If you cannot open the app

Write to admin@loqah.com from the email address you signed in with, and ask for your account to be deleted. We do it by hand within seven days and reply when it is done. We ask you to write from that address because it is the only way we can tell it is your passport. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, write from your Apple ID email, say so, and give us your passport number from the first page of your passport.

Deleting some things, without closing your passport

You do not have to give up the whole passport to remove something from it. Inside the app, at any time:

  • A stamp you got by mistake. Open the stamp, then Got this by mistake? Remove it. The stamp goes, and you can stamp the place again by going there.
  • A past trip you added. Open it, then Added by mistake? Remove it.
  • A stamp you would rather your friends did not see. Open it, tap the three dots, then Keep to myself.
  • A note or a voice note. Open the stamp and clear or remove it.
  • Anything on your plan. Tap the flag again on any place in your want list and it is removed.
  • A friend. Your Friends, then end the exchange. Neither of you can open the other's passport afterwards.
  • Your portrait. Choose another photograph, and the old one is replaced.

For anything else, write to admin@loqah.com from the address you signed in with and say what you would like removed. We answer within seven days.

What is deleted when you close your passport

Everything belonging to you, immediately and permanently:

  • Your sign-in identity and email address
  • Your name and your portrait photograph
  • Every stamp in your passport, including your past trips, with its notes and voice notes
  • Your want list, your friends, the crossings between you, and your invitation link
  • Your notices, and any messages to LOQAH
  • Your device's push notification token
  • If you signed in with Apple, LOQAH's connection to your Apple ID: we ask Apple to revoke it

This is not reversible. A deleted passport cannot be brought back, and the edition numbers it held are never issued to anybody else.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Encrypted backups: up to 31 days. We take a nightly encrypted copy of everything LOQAH holds so a fault on our side cannot lose everyone's passports. A deleted account drops out of those copies within 31 days. Backups are used only to recover from a failure, never to restore one account.
  • Crash reports: up to 30 days. These carry no name, no email address and no photographs; they are deleted automatically by our crash reporting service.
  • Nothing else. Photographs of places never left your phone in the first place, so there is nothing of them for us to delete.
