Doi Mae Salong 68 km

Wat Rong Khun 74 km
A dazzling white work of art in the form of a Buddhist temple, its walls set with mirror glass that glitters in the sun. The artist Chalermchai Kositpipat designed and built it himself and opened it in 1997, and he is still adding to it.
Elephant Nature Park 76 km
A sanctuary and rescue centre for elephants in Mae Taeng district, about 60 km from Chiang Mai, co-founded by Sangduen 'Lek' Chailert. Rescued elephants live here in small herds, and visitors watch them feed and bathe in the river rather than ride them.
