A Nuragic site at Barumini, the best known of the stone tower complexes raised by Sardinia's Bronze Age people, with a village clustered around its central fortress. Its name simply means The Nuraghe in the southern Sardinian language, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Costa Smeralda
A stretch of coast in northern Sardinia, some 20 kilometres long, of granite headlands, coves and clear green water. It was developed as a resort from the 1960s around Porto Cervo, and the name, the Emerald Coast, once covered only a small part of Arzachena.
