Near Mourne Mountains
Titanic Belfast 52 km

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge 123 km
A rope bridge near Ballintoy that links the Antrim coast to the tiny island of Carrickarede. It spans 20 metres and hangs 30 metres above the rocks and sea below.
Dunluce Castle 123 km
The ruins of a medieval castle on the edge of a basalt cliff on the Antrim coast, reached by a bridge from the mainland. Sheer drops fall to the sea on either side, and it was once a seat of the MacQuillans and later the MacDonnells.
Derry's Walls 125 km
Stone walls built between 1613 and 1619 around the old centre of Derry, still complete and walkable for their full circuit of about 1.5 kilometres. Old cannon still sit on the ramparts, and the walk looks down over the city and the River Foyle.
Giant's Causeway 125 km
About 40,000 interlocking basalt columns on the north Antrim coast, left by an ancient volcanic eruption. Legend says the giant Finn McCool built it as a path to Scotland, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Caernarfon Castle 162 km
A medieval fortress begun by Edward I in 1283 on the site of an earlier Norman castle, as the centre of his rule in north Wales. Its banded walls and polygonal towers were modelled on the Walls of Constantinople, and the Roman fort of Segontium lies nearby.
Snowdon Mountain Railway 173 km
A narrow gauge rack and pinion railway that climbs 7.6 kilometres from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales. It opened in 1896, and on the steepest sections the toothed rack keeps the trains from slipping.
Conwy Castle 175 km
A fortress built by Edward I between 1283 and 1287, together with the walls that still ring the town of Conwy. Its eight great towers stand over the estuary, and it is part of a World Heritage Site with his other castles in Gwynedd.
