Bumdeling Wildlife Sanctuary
A wildlife sanctuary covering most of Trashiyangtse District in northeastern Bhutan, from 1,500 to 6,000 metres. Its Bumdeling Valley is a winter roost for black-necked cranes, and the sanctuary also holds alpine lakes and old religious sites.

Chorten Kora
A large white stupa beside the Kholong Chu in Trashi Yangtse, built in 1740 by Lama Ngawang Lodrö in memory of his late uncle. It is modelled on the Boudhanath stupa in Nepal, and a similar stupa, Gorsam Chorten, stands at Zemithang in Tawang.

A temple beside the Drangme Chhu in eastern Bhutan, built where Guru Rinpoche is said to have meditated and subdued a demon. Pilgrims walk circuits around the temple and the great black rock beside it, and its spring festival draws people from across the east.
