In the app, in three taps
This is the whole procedure. It needs no email to us and no waiting.
- Open Loqah and go to Profile, the last tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your passport is gone at once.
If you cannot open the app
Write to admin@loqah.com from the email address you signed in with, and ask for your account to be deleted. We do it by hand within seven days and reply when it is done. We ask you to write from that address because it is the only way we can tell it is your passport.
Deleting some things, without closing your passport
You do not have to give up the whole book to remove something from it. Inside the app, at any time:
- A stamp pressed by mistake. Open the place, then Pressed by mistake? Remove it. The impression goes, and the place is free to be pressed again.
- Anything on your plan. Tap the flag again on any place in your want list and it is removed.
- A companion. Registry of Companions, then end the exchange. Neither of you can read the other's book afterwards.
- Your portrait. Choose another photograph, and the old one is replaced.
For anything else, write to admin@loqah.com from the address you signed in with and say what you would like removed. We answer within seven days.
What is deleted when you close your passport
Everything belonging to you, immediately and permanently:
- Your sign-in identity and email address
- Your name and your portrait photograph
- Every stamp you have pressed, and every volume of your passport
- Your want list, your companions, and the crossings between you
- Your notices, and any letters to the office
- Your device's push notification token
This is not reversible. A deleted passport cannot be brought back, and the edition numbers it held are never issued to anybody else.
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted backups — up to 31 days. We take a nightly encrypted copy of the whole office so a fault on our side cannot lose everyone's passports. A deleted account drops out of those copies within 31 days. Backups are used only to recover from a failure, never to restore one account.
- Crash reports — up to 30 days. These carry no name, no email address and no photographs; they are deleted automatically by our crash reporting service.
- Nothing else. Photographs of places never left your phone in the first place, so there is nothing of them for us to delete.
